Kiss Trio Lashes

Hi everyone! Today I am going to introduce you to my new favourite thing in the entire world. In the past I have tried full strip lashes. Fail. Individual lashes. Fail. So there I was thinking if only there was an inbetween when I stumbled across these in Superdrug. They're half way between a strip lash and individual lashes which means they are a billion times easier to put on but because they're small they can be really subtle or you can plonk a bunch on and make it more of a dramatic look. You can see them in action in this post. I started out with one long one and one short one on each eye but have ended up putting on up to 4 on each eye. My only complaint is that I wish the pack came with more of the shorter length because they are much more subtle but other than that I am really obsessed with these and can't believe I've never seen these type of eyelashes before. If you're thinking about getting these I just hope we don't frequent the same Superdrug because I cleared them out. My bad!
Thanks for stopping by, lots of love,

H&M Summer Haul

Hi everyone! Today I thought I'd do a haul because I haven't done one in aaaggesss which is weird considering I never stop shopping. My last one was probably my New York haul which was last August so I don't know what's gone on there. I've been buying really summery things recently, particularly from H&M so thought I'd show you them today. I'm not going to bother trying to link them to the H&M website because, as I've said a million times before, the website is absolute dog shite. On with the post!
Sandals - £19.99
I think they were £19.99 anyway. As soon as I saw them in store I knew I wanted to get these for summer. I love the platform because I like having that extra bit of height and especially with bare legs I feel like it'll make them look longer and I might be less self conscious. I like my shoes to be really chunky and where a lot of sandals tend to be more slinky and small these are definitely not and I can't wait to wear them on holiday and when it's hot enough in the UK.

 Lace Shorts - £14.99
I'm not actually a massive fan of shorts. I used to be very into the whole shorts over tights thing but I haven't worn them for a looooong time. They always tend to be quite short (duh) and my legs are the biggest part of my body so sometimes they don't look great. However these are high waisted so are a bit more flattering and actually fit around my waist (hallefrickinlujah). I feel a bit unsure of wearing these bare legged in England because they are short but for holidaying abroad I'll hopefully feel a bit more confident.
 High Necked Vest Top- £7.99
You can't go wrong with a black vest top and I'm obsessed with this kind of neckline at the moment. I want every top to have this neckline from now on please and thank you.
Bikini top and bottoms - £3.99 each
I've bought a bikini! And not a last minute panic buy a week before I go on holiday. I really like the long line style of the top and the little straps that cross over at the back and the fact that it's slightly padded. The bottoms are very small which kind of concerns me but, I'll be on holiday so who cares. I'm also suuuuppper impressed with the price. £3.99 each is so much cheaper than bikinis I'd been looking at on Asos and Toshop. I love this bikini so much that I also bought it in white!
damn that label sticking out of the bottoms!
While I would usually stay away from white bikinis because white plus water equals see through the fabric of this is thick and waffle-y and doesn't look like it's going to go transparent the minute I step in the sea.

Can I just say how hard it was taking photographs of black and white things in blinding sunshine, I am aware these photos aren't the best but what can you do. Other than that thanks for stopping by! Lots of love,

L'Oreal Color Riche Matte Lipstick in 229 Cliché Mania

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in 229 Cliché Mania

Not my most catchy title but still true nonetheless. During the winter months I was really into dark red lipsticks but now the sun's coming out a bit more I opted for something a bit brighter in the form of this L'Oreal lipstick (can't find it online for some reason). It's a bright red with orange undertones and is, in my opinion, the perfect summer red. I was slightly worried that because of the orange undertones it would make my teeth look really yellow but it doesn't do that at all. I also worried that it wouldn't suit my more pinky skin but I think it still works really well and would do with most skin tones. It says it has a matte finish but I would say it's more of a satin finish until you blot it with a tissue then it lasts much longer and is less prone to slipping around. It lasts really well, although not through eating or drinking, whilst not feeling drying. I can't remember how much this was exactly but it was under £10 and is a really good option if you were after a new red lipstick for Spring and Summer. Thanks for stopping by! Lots of love,

Review: Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to review the latest foundation release from Nars. I've been using it for a while and finally feel like I have a firm opinion on it and can do a full review. I've also used Nars Sheer Glow and absolutely love that so will be able to compare the two.
When I first bought this foundation I was at the height of dry skingate. And it was the worst thing I've ever put on my face. It hurts to think about it. It was like 'look at all this dry skin you have hahahahah'. Needless to say I ran to the bathroom and removed it as fast as humanly possible. If you have dry skin I feel like this probably isn't the foundation for you. Unless you moisturise the shit out of your face. Anyway once I'd found a moisturiser I liked and my dry skin wasn't as bad I gave this another try. They say that one pump is enough for your entire face but for real... one pump is absolutely tiny. I thought I might have a faulty pump at first because so little came out however once I'd worked with it a few times it becomes clear that it is enough. If you pack too much on one part of your face it starts to look very 'foundation-y' and not 'weightless' at all. If you use the right amount though I think it works really well. After first putting it on I try to ignore it while I do my eye makeup then when I come to do the rest of my face makeup it seems to have sunk into my skin nicely and starts to have the luminous look whilst not slipping and sliding round my face.
I think the difference between Sheer Glow and this foundation is that anyone can use Sheer Glow. I love it and I'm pretty oily whilst it also works for people with dry skin and any other skin types. However I wouldn't say the new foundation is a universal foundation at all. Another main difference is that Sheer Glow is much easier to use. I feel like you can slap it on without really thinking about it. You can put hardly on or a bit more on for more coverage and it'll probably still look good. The Luminous Weightless foundation takes much more practise and concentration I think.
I felt like towards the end of my last bottle of Sheer Glow I was getting quite oily, and whilst I still get oily in this foundation I think it lasts really well on the skin which is one of the benefits of the more matte finish. When my bottle runs out I have absolutely no idea whether I'm going to buy this again or go back to Sheer Glow.
After the debacle of my first encounter with this foundation I didn't hold out much hope but I've ended up really liking it. I think it's perfect for my skin type but I also think it won't work out for a lot of people which is a shame.
Let me know if you've tried this in the comments below! Thanks for stopping by, lots of love,

Look of the Month: April

Hi everyone and welcome to my second Look of the Month! My favourite makeup this month is embarrassingly similar to my last look of the month in February. In that post I said and I quote 'I play around with my daily makeup quite a lot' ......... I've been doing the same look for 3 months now. So yeah I was talking utter bullshit and you shouldn't believe a word I say. Anyway, back to the present and in April I've been loving an even more defined eyeliner wing with big lashes and an almost cut crease with warm browns. I've been pairing this look with different lip colours including bright orangey reds, neutrals and pinks but I recently added to my Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet collection with the shade Beau Brun so decided to use this. It's a hard colour to describe but it's like a dark pink/raspberry shade. I made use of the 3 for 2 in Superdrug and bought these two Makeup Revolution palettes and I am really impressed with them both. Using the Iconic Pro 2 palette I used the peachy shade fourth from the left on the top row and the brown two from the left on the top row and I think it's a perfect combination for spring. My camera/the lighting always washes out the colour on my face so it's actually more intense in real life. And I can't remember which colour I used from the All About Cream palette but it was a light pink shade and all the colours are gorgeous anyway. I also decided to use some corner lashes to make the look more intense and I am full on obsessed with how they look. My life is a constant battle in which I strive for longer eyelashes so these are a god send. My Nars Laguna Bronzer is running out quickly so I've gone back to my Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer and I'd forgotten how much I liked it. It's much warmer than Laguna but that makes it the perfect bronzer as we head in to the summer months.
